Scott Aho is the Big Cheese at Mad Dat, and lives and breathes cars. He has been designing and manufacturing custom parts for most of his life and is the senior fabricator at Mad Dat Motorsport. Scott has great skill in design, machining, welding and fabrication and is also a very poor excuse for an office Biatch.
Scott is also the Vice President of the Nissan Datsun Car Club of South Australia and is very active as a racer and crew member for various race teams and assists with pre-track set ups, track day testing and race weekend track support.
Paul Tomkinson is our head mechanic and our guru for all things technical. He has an obsession with anything that has an engine and wheels so spends much time watching, reading or following motorsport - much to the annoyance of his wife. Paul has a vast history in the Automotive world and has worked for over 22 year in the industry. Much like Scott, Paul isn't great in the office - his phone skills are acceptable but the one finger typing isn't cutting the mustard.
Paul has a eye for detail and great pride in his work, so whether you are looking for a simple log book service, general automotive repairs or race car manufacture, Paul has the experience to get the job done.
Cameron Nash is the young pup of our MadDat wolf pack and is in training under the guidance of Yoda's Scott and Paul. Cam, like Scott and Paul, has an unhealthy obsession (or healthy depending on what side of the fence you sit) with cars. He's a regular competitor in "off road racing" and together with his Dad and Uncle have done an amazing job turning their Datsun off road racing ute into a Mater look a like. Cam has spent a lot of his spare time tinkering with the ute and making a lot of improvements to the ute. Be sure to stop by their Mixed Nuts Motorsport facebook page and give them a like.
Cam is showing a keen eye for detail to ensure he upholds the high standards of work you have come to expect from Mad Dat.
Mad Dat also supports local events and the NDCC through sponsorship and also a few cars which are used as a test bed for our new products before releasing for sale.
